Access to Appropriate Treatments--With
the cost of prescription drugs increasing, insurers continually lower
costs by limiting access to arthritis medications and arthritis treatments. CAN! advocates for open access to all arthritis medications
giving each patient the medication most appropriate for them.
Federal Funding--With
the help of our advocates, CAN! works to increase arthritis funding to
the level it deserves. For example, diabetes receives seven times the
funding as arthritis, even though many more Americans suffer from
arthritis.
Awareness--We work to raise awareness among policy makers,
insurers and the general public that arthritis is a serious,
widespread and disabling condition, and that appropriate medical care
can treat arthritis and reduce its disability. Working together,
we CAN Cure Arthritis Now!
